Blast from the Past: Your Support Team…

This is an older article from ‘06 I posted in another blog.  This article goes in depth as to how you as an indie musician should go about creating your support team and who should be involved in your team.  These individuals vary from your manager to booking agents and others.  I also pieced together this article in the sequence that I myself would usually like my own artist on my indie record label to piece together thier own teams, with my assistance of course, lol.

One Response to “Blast from the Past: Your Support Team…”

  1. Hey Brandon, just dropped in - first time on your site. Good article. Like you said, order of placing the “inner circle” may be different with different artists… I’ve often found that what the artist needs more than anything is the booking agent. Live gigs are the most profitable area for any artist, and having an agent on board that is going to push you to get more paying gigs more often is of critical importance. If the artist is on top of his game, he can fill in those gaps that a manager would generally fill for a while. My two cents… :o)

Hope to hear from you more soon!

    -Matt
